Auvillar Dinner

My dinner was so good I just had to tell you about it. My dinner was in the hotel restaurant which turns out to be an organic restaurant.  Don't let that make you think it was not good!


I started with this asparagus soup with herbs and some finely diced walnuts topped with mint and some cream. Unfortunately, my tongue wouldn't let me lick the bottom of the glass.


My main course was this white fish over a medley of incredible vegetables and some sort of grain.  It was topped with a bread/spinach/green onion mixture that was a little crunchy.  Even the delectable bread was organic.  Four out of four stars.


The owner called this strawberry soup.  It really was mashed up sweetened strawberries, which are in season here topped with whipped cream.  I love strawberries so this was totally in my wheelhouse.  I am going to be hugely fat by the time I return home. I probably need the whole 20 miles tomorrow just to work off dinner not to mention the cookies I chowed down on.
