Valletta, Malta 4/10/25

MADE IT TO MALTA!  Whoohoo!

What a long two days.  Our views from the airplane were just gorgeous.  We had no time to just sightsee because we didn't get to our hotel from the airport until 8:00 PM.

The Hotel, "Knights in Malta," is somewhat unassuming from the outside.  The owner told us that the property, which was more of a B & B, was over 300 years old.

This is our beautiful sitting area, and our bedroom was spacious and just as beautiful.

Another view

We were starving, so we walked down to the Onella Restaurant.  We were not disappointed.

We ordered the bread and olives for an appetizer.  This might have been the best bread I have ever eaten.  It was freshly baked, straight from the oven, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. We had a combination of Kalamata and huge green olives.  Manna from the Gods.

I ordered the Foccicia Primavera.  It had the same bread with what I call "city ham," arugula, tiny garden fresh tomatoes, and local parmesan sprinkled with virgin olive oil.  We will be back in Valletta for our last two nights and I will return to this restaurant and just order six loaves of bread and olives.  I might not even share it with Dennis.

Denis had pasta bolognese, which he loved. We were too full for dessert, even homemade Gelato.

It is a short blog, but I am too tired to make sense of it, and I still have to get ready to start the hike tomorrow and take a much-needed shower.  Flying always makes me feel like I need a long shower.

Good night from Malta, and Sweet Dreams.
