Hola! These were the markers leading us out of town. They were about 8 inches square and on the ground making them hard to see. We ended up lost right off the bat but lucky for us we were soon back on track.
View from a Roman bridge (below)
Not the best photo but this is a white turkey. I have never seen a white turkey before unless you count human turkeys!
Another pumpkin patch!
Hershey kiss to the one who can identify this flower. They looked like carnations but variegated. Beautiful!
Herding the sheep. I love to see the Spanish people hard at work with their farm animals
This was he dog herding the sheep followed by a cart!
We are on old Roman roads and this is a tribute to the Romans of old.
So we went all day with no Coca-cola light stops. Mile after mile. Dennis said he was really wishing for a coca-cola stop so his wife wouldn't be so crabby (surely he jest) We spotted a little bar after 18 miles and just as a joke Dennis wished for pimentos padron. I wasn't optomistic because kitchens close in Spain between 2:00 and 5:00 . We were sitting at a table with our wonderful fabulous diet cokes with ice and we see the waitress deliver pimentos padron to the next table. You cannot imagine the look between the two of us when we sawthose pimentos. The server clearly understood our pantomime of wanting what the next table had...pimentos padron. Delivered sizzling hot, they were wonderful. Beside the pimentos (above photo) was Iberian ham, the Spanish version of country ham. It was the blessed day for Dennis...from his mouth to God's ears, he wished we could have dinner at 7:00PM and I laughed because dinner is always 8:00 or later. We get to our hotel, (at long last) which was a B & B and the owner asked us what time we wanted dinner. 7:00 PM. What a wondrous day this was.!
And as you know, Susie and I love those black and white cats! She has Zoomie who is cute as a button and well, we have our five adorable four-legged children. Those black and whites are so special!
Adios till tomorrow!
