Beans Beans are good for the heart...you know the rest. Or as Dennis says "Beans, beans the magical fruit... The Spanish do a wonderful job with beans. This was my appetizer. The were red beans in a wonderful broth. Yum...I do love me some beans. Then I had two pounded chicken breasts in a light curry sauce. One of them will be lunch tomorrow. What an excellent meal but it was the company that was so good.
I had the most wonderful dinner companions. David and Diane from Naples. She is the minister for Pray Attention Ministries. This is from her website:
"Diane, joyfully nicknamed, the woman of a thousand prayers, is delighted to be the senior minister of Pray Attention Ministries, based out of Naples FL. Diane serves where she is led globally - speaking, teaching, writing, taking part in retreats and spiritual experiences in the US, Honduras, Peru, Costa Rica, Nepal, Brazil and Mexico. As an adventurer, she trekked 480 miles across Spain on the Camino and summited the world's highest mountain pass in Nepal. She served 4 years as senior minister of Unity of Naples, and over 12 years at Unity of Roanoke Valley VA; and is an author, TV host + radio personality and 2009 recipient of the YWCA Women of Achievement Award in Religion. Diane in-enjoys ministry, family, friends, teaching, yoga, running and writing.
You can see what a beautiful girl she is and her husband is equally handsome. We had a big laugh because in his attempts to speak Spanish on the Camino today, he told the bartender that he was hot. Diane and I agreed. He is hot....a real English cutie pie at about 6'4. He was trying to order soy milk for coffee and he wanted it warmed so he said he was caliente.
I am so fortunate because for all of my life, God has sent amazing women in ministry and bible study to my door. Are we Christian Girls the bomb!
